Laguna Niguel, California — Residential Outdoor Living Project

Project Overview
For this project in Laguna Niguel, the homeowner wanted more than a decorative backyard feature. The goal was to build a truly functional outdoor space that could be used comfortably in different weather conditions and at any time of day—an extension of the home designed for everyday living.
Our Solution
We installed a custom 13’ x 13’ freestanding aluminum pergola in a modern dark gray finish, featuring an adjustable louvered roof for precise control of sunlight, shade, and ventilation. To maximize comfort and versatility, the system was upgraded with two motorized sun/wind protection screens, an integrated heater, and integrated LED lighting.
Key Features
Adjustable louvered roof = total control
Tilt the louvers for shade, open them for airflow, or adjust for brighter sun and partial coverage depending on the moment. This flexibility makes the space usable in changing conditions throughout the day.
Two motorized sun & wind protection screens
These screens help reduce direct sunlight, cut down wind impact, and provide extra privacy when needed—without sacrificing the open-air feel.
Integrated heater for cooler mornings and evenings
The heater extends comfort during colder periods, making the pergola practical beyond daytime use.
Integrated LED lighting
  • Built-in lighting makes the space fully functional after sunset and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere for evening relaxation or entertaining.

  • Site evaluation and project planning
  • Measurements, layout coordination, and placement planning

Result

This project is a great example of how combining adjustable louvers, motorized screens, heating, and integrated lighting turns a pergola into a complete outdoor living solution—built around real, everyday use.
