Yorba Linda, California — Residential Patio Cover Project

Project Overview
This Yorba Linda home received a full backyard hardscape refresh and needed a clean, low‑maintenance structure to make the new patio usable all day. The brief: precise sun control, rain protection, and a look that matches the home’s contemporary lines without blocking the large windows.
Our Solution
We designed and installed a freestanding aluminum pergola finished in matte charcoal to echo the window trim and contrast the light stucco. The adjustable louvered roof tilts to invite breeze and daylight, then closes tight for shade and drizzle. Columns were positioned to preserve the step entry and to frame the outdoor kitchen on the left, keeping traffic flowing across the large stone patio.
Highlights
All‑aluminum frame — no rot, no repainting; powder‑coat finish for long‑term durability.
Adjustable louvers — enjoy open‑sky ventilation or watertight cover in seconds.
Integrated drainage — water routes to the perimeter through hidden gutters for a dry patio surface.
Clean geometry — square posts and slim beams pair with the home’s architecture and new tile layout.
Future‑ready — concealed chases planned for optional LED lighting, heaters, or fans.
  • HOA/Permitting support — we provide drawings and coordination so approvals go smoothly.
Result
The backyard now functions as a true outdoor living room—cooler at midday, comfortable at sunset, and ready for year‑round gatherings. The pergola’s shadow lines animate the bluestone, while the open sides keep the space airy and connected to the garden.
