Newport Beach, California — Residential Patio Cover Project

Project Overview
For this Newport Beach home, the brief was simple: create a low‑maintenance, year‑round outdoor room that works for everyday lounging and weekend entertaining—without closing off the breezes that make coastal living special.
Our Solution
We designed and installed a two‑module aluminum pergola in a matte charcoal powder‑coat. The system’s adjustable louvered roof delivers open‑sky airflow when you want it and dependable shade/rain protection when you don’t. To fine‑tune comfort across the long patio, we added two complementary elements:

  • A tensioned shade sail at one end to extend coverage near the back door and dining set.
  • A mesh privacy/wind screen at the opposite end to cut glare and create a cozy lounge zone.
The layout cleanly divides the space into dining and conversation areas, keeps traffic flowing along the house, and frames the grill station without crowding it.
