Beverly Hills, California — Residential Patio Cover Project

Project Overview
Perched above the canyon with panoramic views, this Beverly Hills residence needed a low‑maintenance, architectural shade structure that would make the patio comfortable at noon and refined at dusk—without interrupting the sightlines.
Our Solution
We designed and installed a freestanding aluminum pergola in a charcoal powder‑coat to complement the home’s palette and stonework. Instead of an open lattice, we specified a solid insulated roof to block heat and provide dependable rain cover.

Water is routed through concealed gutters and post downspouts, so the terrace stays dry and uncluttered.

Columns were placed tight to the retaining wall and building edge to preserve the view corridor and keep circulation around the dining set. The frame is anchored to the existing concrete and engineered for hillside wind exposure—ready for future upgrades like heaters or motorized screens.
Highlights
All‑aluminum frame — no rot, no repainting; crisp, modern lines
Solid insulated roof panels — cooler shade + 100% weather protection
Integrated drainage — hidden gutters and downspouts inside posts
View‑first layout — minimal columns, kept out of primary sightlines
Engineered anchoring — code‑compliant for hillside winds
Future‑ready — concealed conduits for LED lighting, fans, heaters, or screens
Result
The patio now functions as a true outdoor dining room—calm in the afternoon sun and intimate at night—while the pergola’s slim fascia frames the sweeping canyon views rather than competing with them.
